Please complete the form and return it directly to Christopherson Andavo (CB Travel Corp.) via email or fax. You will be contacted with a proposed itinerary within two business days. Please note that Christopherson Andavo (CB Travel Corp.) charges a $30 transaction fee for each ticket purchased.

Airport Transportation

Sacramento International Airport (SMF) is the main commercial airport in the Sacramento Valley.  Airlines serving Sacramento are Aeromexico, Alaska, American, Delta, Hawaiian, Horizon, JetBlue, Southwest and United, US Airways, and Volaris.  After the conference, please note that the Sacramento County Airport System recommends arriving 90 minutes before your scheduled departure. 

Ground Transportation Options To / From SMF

Yolo Bus:
Yolobus provides public transit service between downtown Sacramento and Sacramento International Airport (SMF) on Routes 42A (from SMF to downtown) and 42B (from downtown to SMF).

  • Route 42A provides hourly service from 5:30 AM until 10:22 PM Monday through Friday and from 8:23 AM – 10:22 PM Saturday and Sunday.
  • Route 42A picks up at both Terminal A and Terminal B and drops off passengers along J St. between 4th Street and 14th Street (J at 4th , J at 6th, J at 8th, J at 10th, J at 11th, and  J at 14th).
  • Route 42B provides hourly service from 5:05 AM – 10:05 PM Monday through Friday and 6:05 AM – 10:05 PM Saturday and Sunday.
  • Route 42B picks up along L Street between 13th Street and 4th Street (L at 14th, L at 11th, L at 10th, L at 9th, L at 6th, L at 5th, and L at 4th) and drops off passengers at both Terminal A and Terminal B.

Super Shuttle:
Super Shuttle is providing a group discount for the SRTS Conference from the airport to the Sheraton Grand. The discounted rate is $11 one way per passenger with a reservation. Taxi: The distance from the Sacramento International Airport (SMF) to the Sheraton Grand Sacramento is approximately 12 miles. The estimated cab fare between the airport and the hotel is $40 one-way.

Rail Transportation – Amtrak

Amtrak offers a 10% discount off the best available rail fare to (Sacramento, CA) between (August 10, 2013 – August 18, 2013).  To book your reservation call Amtrak at 1 (800) 872-7245 or contact your local travel agent.

Please be sure to refer to Convention Fare Code X93P-976 when making your telephone reservation. Participants can also make their reservations online.  Participants will not be able to get a discount from the main Amtrak website, so it is important that online reservations be booked using the provided link.  This offer is not valid on the Auto Train and Acela Service.  Fare is valid on Amtrak Regional for all departures seven days a week, except for holiday blackouts.  Offer valid with Sleepers, Business Class or First Class seats with payment of the full applicable accommodation charges.

Public Transportation (General)

Sacramento offers an extensive bus and light rail transportation system that much of the northern Sacramento area, allowing participants access to the city’s most exciting attractions.  The Sheraton is close to both light rail and public bus stops on a pedestrian-friendly transit line. The nearest bus stop is east of the hotel and is in front of the Sacramento Convention Center on J Street between 13th and 14th streets. The nearest light rail station is at 9th and K Streets.

Inter-City Rail:
The Sacramento Valley Station (SAC) is the seventh busiest Amtrak station in the nation, the terminus of the transcontinental railroad, and located just ¾ mile from the conference site (8 blocks).  The station is served by the California Zephyr, the Capitol Corridor, the Coast Starlight, and the San Joaquin, along with Amtrak Thruway Motorcoaches.  Participants arriving by Amtrak can transfer to Regional Transit Bus Route 30, located North of the Depot Building next to the Light Rail Platforms.  Route 30 provides direct service to the conference from the station every 15 minutes.

Sacramento Regional Transit:
The RT system operates 65 bus routes (5:00 am to 9:00 pm) and three light rail routes (4:30 am to 11 pm).  As our transportation sponsor, Regional Transit will be providing free transit passes to conference attendees.  These passes will be available at the registration table.  Normal fares are $2.50 one-way (no transfers) or $6.00 for a day pass.  Exact fare is required as operators do not carry change.  RT day passes are accepted on municipal carriers, such as Yolobus, which provides Airport service.

Onsite Bike Share and Valet

Bike Share

Practical Cycle, a Sacramento-based bike shop, has committed to providing a small fleet of bicycles for the conference bike share program. Bicycles and helmets will be available for participants to check out during the event for use in getting some physical activity between sessions and exploring the local bike trails and Sacramento’s lively downtown and midtown areas, all easily accessible by bicycle. Route maps will be provided to participants to find their way around easily and safely.

Bike Valet

Participants who expect to bike to the conference will be able to enjoy the convenience of a bike valet. Sacramento Area Bicycle Advocates(SABA) is sponsoring this FREE service. Dedicated and trained conference volunteers will supervise your bike during the scheduled time of the bike valet. You will receive a ticket that corresponds with the ticket on your bike that will allow for easy check-in and checkout.

Parking

Bike Parking:
Sacramento Area Bicycle Advocates (SABA) is coordinating and sponsoring a FREE onsite Bike Valet during the conference, located just outside the Sheraton Hotel, August 13-15.

Additional public bike racks are located near Starbucks at 13th near J Street, as well as in front of the box office at 1301 L Street.

Parking at the Sheraton Grand Sacramento:
Please note that self-parking is $18 per day/night and valet parking is $25 per day/night. Both options include in and out privileges (for hotel guests and others).

Metered parking and variable rate parking lots are located throughout the downtown area.

Parking for the Sheraton Grand Sacramento and Surrounding Areas:
Parking for the Sheraton Grand Sacramento is available at the Sheraton owned and operated garage located on 13th Street between I and J Street, and privately owned lots within walking distance of the hotel. Parking rates vary by location and event. On-Street parking meters, requiring quarters or debit cards, are also available and surround the Sheraton Grand Sacramento. Parking for visitors with disabilities can be found in the parking lots and at meters.

Daily Event parking rates at City-owned lots are $6 to $15. Rates at privately owned lots vary by location and by event. Many parking garages are open 24 hours. Availability at these lots can change, depending on the time of day.
